Don't Buy Fake Fisch - Fakers day in the sun is over
2 Jun 2010

The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they do turn. The faker of the Fisch, Przemyslaw A. Slomski, who sometimes sells under the eBay name "2arecki", is going to pay for his illegal actions.

For some time now, Slomski has been offering for sale and selling knock-offs of the famous Fisch brand Fake Coin Identification Gauges.  These knock-offs were carefully created to look identical to genuine Fisch brand gauges, but were, we believe, of inferior quality.  To protect unwary customers, Fisch sued Slomski in United States Federal Court in Manhattan in February of this year.  Rather than face the music, however, Slomski refused to appear in court and fled to his native Poland.

Slomski is now in default in the court action, and judgment will soon be rendered against him.

The above is what my attorney wrote, hence the cautious language.

As to the quality of his rip offs, here is what a customer wrote:

"As far as knowing that they were fakes it was easy, they didn't work. Before I got the Fisch (fakers) I just used my scale and caliper. The fakers said my real gold coins were counterfeit. I knew something was wrong and I researched online and found a forum thread dedicated to the fake Fisch. The Fakers don't have the trademark and copyright symbols."

As this matter slowly proceeds, I will be posting updates. Thanks again to Fisch users for their support.
